My book hating brother recommended me a book....

My brother has a track record of recommending me movies and TV shows that I generally fall in love with and end up obsessing about. I shouldn't have doubted his abilities but Christmas of 2012 I did.
You should know that my brother hates everything books. He only has one book that he has ever really liked and t he was forced to read it for school, The Giver. I have recommend him plenty of books that match his taste in tv shows and games but he always refused to give them a try. So when my brother told me that he was buying me a book for Christmas 2012 that wasn't on my amazon wishlist I was horrified.
My brother has been trying to get me into this YouTube channel online and I have this thing watching anything he wants me to. Not because I wont like it (history says I will) but because I hate taking his recommendations for some reason. He would tell me about all the great things that were happening on this channel and this whole community that was watching it. I walked out of the room, put in head phones or just read a book and tuned him out completely.
Now his online friends were getting all excited about this book coming out and since he knew I liked to read he decided that this was a logical present. I was not happy, Yes I had told him to buy me a new book but I meant one that was on my amazon wishlist.  When the book came I tried to not read it, because I like to be stubborn. I started getting all the new year lists of the top books and this book was on every single one. At the point I decide that maybe my brother wasn't wrong about this.
Now at this point I'm sure most of you know what book and community I'm talking about.Yes in 2012 my book hating nerdfighter brother bought me, The Fault In Our Stars.
I tore though that book in one night. Oh my god I hadn't read anything that hilarious and heartfelt...ever. I immediately needed more but I didn't have any money at the time to but the rest of John Greens books so my brother kindly reminded me that I had a whole YouTube channel of Green brother awesomeness to watch.
In one month I watched more vlogbrother videos then my brother had ever seen in his whole two years of being a nerdfighter. I felt so guilty over missing out I felt like I needed to watch everything. As of now I am a full fledge nerdfighter, probably way more obsessed then my brother. I have read every single John Green book (I love them all but I don't get the hyped about Looking For Alaska), I am subscribed to all Green brothers YouTube channels (vlogbrothers, crashcourse, scishow, metal floss, ext) and I am currently waiting for my rewards from the project for awesome (and I was on break so I stayed up two nights watching that live stream).
